New media art semester showcases: photography, video, VR, games, sound art and culture blogs

The open semester showcase time has begun with an exhibit of the pieces produced by 2nd year students of New media art Bachelor programme. Prof. Rasa Smite, Dr. art. Raitis Smits, and New media art researcher Paula Vitola's assigments for the students were a) to make a piece where one of Lev Manovich's principles of new media would be interpreted, and b) a prototype of an alternative interface would be produced. 2. Bachelors exhibit "Correlations" 14.06. - 17.06. Fr. Brīvzemnieka 7 1 PM - 7 PM . Opening: 13.06. 7 PM.

3. Sound art presentations 14.06. 3 PM Kūrmājas 13.

4. Bachelors and Masters Thesis presentations 15.06. 1 PM - 5 PM Kūrmājas pr.13.

5. Local culture blog presentation at cafe/book store "Bolderāja" (Rīga, Avotu iela 29) on 18.06. 7 PM.

6. VR Game presentations at MPLab, Kūrmājas 13 on 21.06. 3 PM.

7.Photo and video exhibition at Ukstiņa iela19/23, Liepaja, on 21.06. 7 PM.
