5th sound art festival "Sound Days: BioSignals" took place in a previously abandoned factory building on Tirgus street 9 in Liepaja, as well as in Art Research Laboratory of Liepaja University, and in the Sonic Wilderness of Liepaja beach-side. Blessed with a wonderful weather the participants of the sound festival explored the biologial and acoustic diveristy of the local ecosystem, as well as played around sonifying unhearable biological processes, like brain waves and plant electroconductivity.
The international festival consisted of 2 electronic music nights, sound art exhibition, and 4 workshops lead by internationally acclaimed and experienced artists: Antye Greie-Ripatti, Juan "Bilwa" Costa and Michael McDermot, Shawn Pinchbeck and Krišjānis Rijnieks.
